'I'm not creative at all...I wish I was!'
Is this something you've ever said? I often find that many people think they lack artistic vision or creativity, especially if they do a day job that they see as mundane. The reality is that every person I meet has a beautiful amount of creativity and imagination, but are often shamed out of seeing themselves as creative or artistic.

As we move through life, we are told creativity and art are for children, and we need to leave them behind to concentrate on more practical things. However as smart phones have made photography more accessible in your every day life, I see more and more people rediscovering their creativity, and this makes me so happy! The magic of photography is that we can find a little bit of creation and play in our everyday moments, and bring some joy back into our life. Many people then decide to pick up a 'real camera' and then start to struggle, as the technology gap between their phone and a camera is widening all the time.
This is where I come in! If you're struggling to get to know your new technology, you might want to book a one on one class with me to learn the ropes. Bring your camera, the manual, and an idea of what sort of photography you're interested in, and we'll go over everything together in a two hour session that will leave you feeling more confident and ready to enjoy your new creative outlet.

For the more experienced photographers who are looking to dip their toes into the world of fine art photography, book a walking tour and we'll spend some time out in nature learning how to use your camera as an extension of yourself. Walking tours are conducted as groups of up to 10, and currently being offered as part of the Granite Belt Arts and Crafts Trail in October, with more locations and dates on offer in 2026.
Wander through the picturesque bush surrounds of Diamondvale Estate, located a short 5 minute drive from the Stanthorpe CBD, and lift your photographic art to the next level with a hands on workshop with Elizabeth. Choose from two different walking tours in the uniquely beautiful environments only found on the Granite Belt. Both workshops take you on through a different ecosystem, and are booked as close to the Golden Hours as we could make them! Idea for landscape, macro, abstract, or flora and fauna photography.
The Middle Earth Morning Tour will take you on a beautiful walk through a bushland trail, where tea tree groves make way for giant granite formations, standing sentinel in mysterious groves of eucalypt and wattle. Early morning sightings of wildlife are possible, with wallabies, kangaroos, and lizards of all sizes known to visit the area daily. Strong shoes and sensible clothing are advised, as the ground is uneven and there is a small incline. After the two hour workshop, enjoy a freshly made Devonshire tea on the verandah of the historic Diamondvale Homestead. Dietary restrictions catered to with 48 hours notice.

The Water and Stone Afternoon Tour will take you on a little winding path to a magical spot where the Quart Pot Creek runs over water-worn granite. This secluded spot is accessible only to guests at Diamondvale, and the smooth rippled textures carved out by the water, colourful lichen and sculptural boulders offer a wealth of photographic inspiration. After the two hour workshop, enjoy a charcuterie board of locally sourced goodies on the verandah of the historic Diamondvale Homestead.
